The Link Between the Strategic Plan and Penn State’s Fundraising Campaign

The philanthropy of Penn State’s alumni and friends will be essential in fueling our institution’s progress toward the vision and ambition expressed in our strategic plan. A Greater Penn State for 21st Century Excellence, the University-wide fundraising campaign which began on July 1, 2016, asks supporters to become partners with Penn State in fulfilling the three key imperatives of a public university today. These imperatives, along with the specific objectives they encompass, were developed through a year-long discussion among University leaders, faculty, staff, volunteers, and donors, and the process was both inspired and guided by the Penn State strategic plan.
